PTSA Scholarships

SHS PTSA Scholarship applications are now available!  Seniors who were SHS PTSA members by January 4, 2008 are eligible to apply for one of several $500 scholarships to be awarded in May of 2008.  Scholarship application packets can be downloaded by clicking here and are also available in the SHS Career Center through mid-March. 

Completed scholarship application packets must be submitted to Ms. Low in Guidance by Friday, March 19, 2008, 3:05 pm.  To streamline the process, please submit your "Request for Transcript" form to Ms. Low in February; she has offered to hold your transcript until you submit the remainder of your scholarship package.  Forms may be found in Guidance are also included in the application packet online.

These scholarships are funded by proceeds from the M&M machine located by the AFJROTC classroom.  Applicants must demonstrate consistent academic performance, participation in both Sanderson and community activities, and answer a short essay question.  Candidate applications will evaluated by a panel of judges from outside the Sanderson community in April.  Again, scholarships will be awarded in May.

Remember, these scholarships are not limited to students attending four-year institutions. Students who choose a technical or two-year community college should also apply.
